When choosing whether the residence hall is the right place for you, you must consider the positives and the negatives of dorm living! Here are a couple examples:
Pros
-Common areas to connect with students on campus
-Maintenance is here to help with any dorm room issues
-Residence staff keep the dorms safe, and quiet
-You are updated regularly on campus activities
-Have easy access to the school, and sports facilities
-The kitchen in the dorms allow you to do meal prep and cook freely
-All utilities, wifi and cable provided, price included in room and board fees
-Phone lines for each resident
-Free laundry
Cons
-Dorms may be slightly louder if events on campus are going on
-Do not always have as much privacy, or space
-Shared bathroom facilities
-Must agree to abide to the rules of the facilities, and dorms
-loud neighbors may be an incovenience
