Welcome Back!
The spring semester is underway here at MCC and we're gearing up for a fun one! I have a couple of tips to help you get ahead and stay ahead this semester.
1. Use a calendar or planner. Time management is so crucial when you have a lot to do. Using a planner helps to stay on top of everything that I have going on in life from homework to personal functions.
2. Go to Class. The first week is a great time to get to know your professors and get a feel for what the class is going to be like. Going to class allows you to meet your peers and start thinking about study groups that might be beneficial to you later in the semester.
3. Read the Syllabus. The syllabus is likely the easiest piece of material that will be passed out all semester, why wouldn't you read it? I encourage reading the syllabus in every class. Again, it will give you a feel for what the class will be like and what you should expect for the semester.
The list isn't very long but these are a few tips that have helped me get through the past semesters.
